Elizabeth and Aaron selected Foxhouse Studio to capture their August Wedding. We were able to do engagement photos on a sunny Sunday afternoon recently. They are both so sweet, kind and relaxed. It was such a pleasure to spend some time getting to know them before their big day.  We were able to use the gorgeous homestead of Mr. & Mrs. Lowe, right in the center of Twickenham (Downtown, Huntsville, Al). Their landscape and garden certainly made for a great backdrop. However, the true beauty come from the couple, and all the laughter and happiness they share with the world. We are certainly looking forward to August!

It turned out to be a gorgeous Saturday afternoon the day I was to photograph Mary and J.R. and to my delight, of course. The “Golden Hour” was perfectly golden, and the couple is absolutely stunning. Mary and I had been planning this shoot for quite some time. She and J.R. will be celebrating their one year (dating) anniversary on May 25. She wanted these photos to commemorate such an event, and rightfully so, they are a darling couple.  Their love is very apparent and sweet. I am so thankful to be able to capture such feelings.   We were lucky enough to stumble upon the most dazzling place for such a shoot. It’s amazing the locations you can find in your own neighborhood (or a development just down the road, hehe).
My dream is that Mary and J.R. experience the abundance of love and happiness that surrounds them, everyday.

A Little Visit to Florence, Alabama…

Taylor (my sweetheart and second photographer for Foxhouse Studio) and I recently visited Florence, a charming little town on the Tennessee River, in Northwest Alabama. We were dazzled by it’s beauty, unique appeal, and friendliness. Although these photos are not client shoots or anything related to wedding photography, I found the time to edit these on this rainy (and cold) May weekend. Shouldn’t it be sunny and warm? Ah… Soon enough.

Easter Sunday! Already? Thankfully. I’ve spent all Winter chasing the light and I am ready for the effortlessly sunny days of Summer. Hot or not, I will take it without a single complaint of it being too muggy outside! After living in Hawaii and getting acclimated to the year round, stabilized temperature, I definitely took it for granted! Another reason my home on the island is always calling me back… one day. For now, I am where I need to be!
Today did not turn out to be a day where the weather permitted me running around outside with my camera. So,  I decided to edit some photos from past shoots that never made it into photoshop the first time around.

I’ll be out chasing the light…

It was a lovely Sunday afternoon when I had the opportunity to photograph two beautiful little sweethearts: cousins Ava and James. They were so much fun to be around, capturing the small moments with my camera for their family to enjoy forever. I do not get the chance very often to be around children, but when I do I soak it up!! I find such joy in watching children explore and interact with the world. This particular Sunday in March was one of the warmest days we have had all year, albeit a bit windy, the sunlight was dazzling. I attempted to capture and convey the freshness of spring, the feeling of the warm sun, and the absolute sweetness of the children…
